We're migrating away from our 2003 Print Server (deployed via Pushprinterconnections, which is gone from later versions of Windows IIRC) and I was wondering what the general consensus is regarding deploying 2008 R2 P&D Server vs. using Group Policies with Item-Level Targeting.
I'm already partially heading down the route of the latter, but I'm having some issues deploying printers to XP machines (which are due to be replaced soon *but* I can't afford much more downtime).
I followed the walk-through here for connecting up printers to OUs, which is basically what I had already done (all printers deployed through the same GPO, with ILT), but deployment of my departmental printer is failing with the following...
