I have a customer with a main office, and several remote offices. The remote offices have a T1 dedicated to a VPN tunnel back to the main office, and also DSL for web. File replication happens over the VPN tunnels in real time, often causing their RemoteApp/RDS/Citrix sessions to the main office to run slowly.
I wanted to see if sending their RemoteApp/RDS/Citrix sessions over the DSL would perform better for them. Is there any way outside of host files to send the RemoteApp/RDS/Citrix sessions to the public IP at the main office instead of going over the VPN tunnel?
Ideally I'd like it if AD DNS at the remote site to resolve the A record for ts.domain.com to the public IP instead of the LAN IP, but I haven't found that it's possible so far.
