XP Mode works for Domain Admins, but not Domain Users

Got some new desktops with Win7 Pro w/XP Mode. Trying to run a couple of legacy applications. The tricky part is that these two legacy apps are run from a network share (that's a can of worms all its own). The XP Mode VM needs to be joined to the domain, attach the user's drives, and then the user needs to be able to run applications from those drives.

This all works swimmingly for a Domain Admin.

However, for a Domain User, the network drives show up in My Computer, but are disconnected. Clicking on them gives a "wrong credentials" or "already connected" error. I can try the username, domain\username, domain.local\username... no dice.

The Domain Users and Domain Admins are both members of the XP Mode VM's local Administrators and Remote Users groups.

The network drives required by Domain Admins and Domain Users are the same. They are attached by a "net use" login script, not by a policy.

Apps installed in the VM run just fine for the Domain Users, just not the ones on the drives that won't attach properly.

This problem doesn't happen on real XP machines in the domain.
