On all domain workstations, Silverlight is installed (as it is necessary for a website used company-wide).
However, users to not have administrative privileges or privileges to install software.
A Silverlight update was released recently, but none of the workstations are receiving it through windows update. If I open Windows Update manually, it shows the item as unchecked.
Every time users use Chrome to visit the website using Silverlight, they get an alert bar that says Silverlight is outdated and they can run it "this time" or "update it". Since they can update it themselves, the users are kind of stuck.
How can I force the update to be installed?
The server is Windows Server 2008 and the workstations are Windows 7 and Windows Vista.
