We have a Win XP laptop that will not authenticate with the domain. We are pretty sure it has nothing do with our domain controllers becauseit isonly this one laptop, everything else is working fine. This particular laptop has some legacy software that we need to run. The computer works fine except for we were unable to run a gpupdate it gave us an error stating that there are no available domain controllers to process the request.
We first tried torejoin it to the domain, we were able to unjoin it from the domain but we weren'table to rejoin.We've uninstalled a/v, manually entered our DNS, disabled all non Microsoft services and startup programs, patched to latest version, performed a DNS flush, and ran a sfc scan now (no errors). We still weren't able to rejoin the computer to the domain.
