Searched around and found some similar threads, but I may be over-thinking this.
I am implementing a GPO to "Remove and Prevent Access to the Shutdown, Restart, Sleep, etc.." button. We want our users to not be able to reboot any servers via the GUI, command line only. I know right where the location is in GPO, User Config -> Policies -> Administrative Templates -> Start Menu ->
However my question is, I only need this to apply to servers that is it, not workstations at all. I have an OU named servers. Do I just link the GPO to the appropriate OU? Reason I ask, is it is a user configuration GPO and will that apply to computers in an OU? My thought was no..? Do I need to create a loopback processing policy?
Right now I have it created and "linked" to the OU that has all of our servers, but it is not applying.
Thanks for any insight or help in advance!
