I have a 2008 R2 server that is doubling as a backup, read-only DC and also has some training manuals I need users to access via RDP. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong, or if what I want to do is impossible. I have created a user group for the specific users that will RDP into this server, and I have edited the Default Domain Policy to Allow logon through RDS for that specific group. It is not working. When I use my test account to log in, I still get the message about not being in the administrators group. My boss said he thought he read somewhere that with Server 2008 R2, it is not possible for a non-domain admin to log on via rdp to a domain controller. Is this true? I really hope not!!! Thanks!
