We are merging with another firm on January 1st. We had a consultant log in and setup a site-to-site VPN from our office to theirs.
We added 2 of their DNS servers to our DHCP settings.
We are able to ping IP's on their network and get replies.
We are able to get DNS resolution on their servers names using nslookup.
We were able to setup a connection to their exchange server a couple times but it loses connection after a reboot. Most of the time we get 'network unavailable' errors when trying to set this up and anytime we try to browse to their resources.
For the time being we're running separate domains and Active Directories and figured adding their DNS servers would give us access to email (main thing we want up and running).
Would this being a routing issue in the VPN that was setup or possibly something all together? We're looking for thing to try and test to try and get this working by the new year if possible.
