All, hoping to get some feedback. I'm revaluating my client management lifecycle and as part of the plan I am going to use MDT to start deploying client machines. This includes laying down the OS and the majority of applications my users need. This includes Java, Flash, and Reader.
Now, MDT is just the initial deployment and obviously these programs need constant updates. So as part of the ongoing management, I'm thinking of deploying updated versions of Adobe and Java using GPO.
My concern is, if I install the latest Adobe and Java initially as part of my MDT task sequence and then also create a GPO to distribute these programs, will I have a problem because the latest version was already installed on the workstation? Will the GPO attempt to reinstall the software or will it pick up the version already installed?
