My Computer is Blank After Receiving GPO from New Domain

A client of mine had a Small Business Server 2003 domain controller that needed replaced. The process for moving from SBS 2003 to a full-fledged 2008 DC seemed pretty complicated, so with the number of workstations at his office I presumed it would be simpler to backup profiles, unjoin from the domain, put the new DC in place, and rejoin them to the new domain (with a completely different domain name, IP scope, etc).

Everything went fine, except after the computers pulled GPO the "My Computer" screen went completely blank. Not only can you not see network drives, but no local drives either. The sections are not minimized, they aren't visible at all.

The only policies they are getting are Default Domain Policy, and two policies that I've setup to add users to the local admins group, and one to map a few drives using GPP. The odd thing is that if I manually type in a local drive or network drive location, I can get to them just fine. But nothing under My Computer is vislble. This is affecting both XP and Windows 7 clients.

A thought it might be an incompatibility with something leftover from their old domain's policy, so I joined a computer that was never on the old domain. Same thing happened.
