Ok, i have a question for my fellow spiceheads - in my organization, all of our servers (save 2) are sitting at Windows 2008 Standard or Windows 2008 R2 - the 2 that are not either of these versions are both Windows 2003 Server. These 2 servers are 2 DC's - i was told by our third party tech provider that upgrading these guys to 2008 would be a pain and that 2008 AD didn't play nicely. What i want to know is a)are they right about the upgrade being a pain and b)is there any benefits to leaving the DC's as Windows Server 2003?
As usual, your answers are greatly appreciated. :)
