Our (unnamed) analysts tell us that laptop security is managed with different tools and by different groups even within most companies. I need to understand this better. As you might guess most analysts focus on enterprise business and our analyst is no different. Almost every opinion expressed by them is prefaced with a disclaimer that they understand the enterprise space much better than SMB.
I really welcome the perspective of more “resourceful” IT organizations where the entire operation may be run by one, two or a few Spiceheads and I’m hopeful my theory is correct. That is, that for businesses smaller than “enterprise” these functions are handled in the same group.
