Does a user who is a member of the domain admins group have to be a member of the domain users group? Does the answer to this just come down to pre existing folder rights throughout the domain? This came up because of a new Buffalo NAS I purchased to store archived projects. The intent is for domain users to have read access and domain admins to have read/write access. When rights are set this way, I cannot write to the drive. This is because, like Windows, the group with the least rights takes precedence and since I am a member of both groups I can't write. I could solve this by removing myself from the domain users group. The question is, will this cause any problem I am not thinking of? Thanks for any input.
