Problem: Passwords not synching with EPO
It seems that in many case EPO and AD don’t sync or there is a delay in the process which can cause Outlook, Domain, VPN and even intranet access issues.
Fix: Step them through the Administrator recovery
tool in EPO. The token must be reset and the password you pick for EPO will need to minor that of AD.
Walk through
1.
After the end users logs in go to options,
recovery, administrator recovery
2.
(Make sure to have EPolicy Orchestrator and the
Challenge Code is up) Have the end user read the Phonetic Code
3.
Enter the code in EPolicy Orchestrator
4.
User Recovery, Reset Token and find the end user
5.
Read the Phonetic Code back to end user
6.
Have the user change their Password
7.
In AD find the user and change their password to reflect the EPO password
8.
Have the user put in the new challenge code
