Hi everyone, thought I'd see what the community thinks of this problem. We have a mostly VDI environment, approximately 80% of users are on VM's (VMware View, to be specific). However, we have a few users still on physical PC's who require higher end graphic response (CAD designers and the like). We find that when a user logs on to a physical PC for the first time, the logon is painfully slow. Further logons are better, however still much slower than logging onto a VM.
We're running a 2008R2 level domain, no subdomains or forest trusts. There are a large number of group policies, however they apply the same way to both physical and VM computers.
