So this has been a project that I have been working on as of late. I am currently trying to transfer 2003 sbs AD/DNS/DHCP to 2008 R2. Currently, I have ran the DCPROMO on the 2008R2, and it everything looked alright.
I ran DCDiag on the 2008R2 server (I cannot run it on the 2003 sbs server, because DCDiag is apparently on a separate disk that the previous IT Admin decided to throughout). The DCDiag returns with a few errors: see file. I know that the Advertising test fails, because thesysvol and netlogon are not on the 2008 R2 server. So I need to fix that issue. I see several people saying that its a matter of configuring the DNS connections of the servers, but I wanted to check with Spiceworks first.
Any advice on why I am getting all of the DCDiag errors would be appreciated. I have inherited this system from a long line of...
