So here's the situation. Often times we find ourselves in a situation where a domain controller has died (not too often) in a single controller environment. Usually its an older box so instead of using something like a system restore on similar hardware or whatever, we will opt to do a network redesign of the customer getting them into an new server (2008 r2 or 2012 r2) and getting their environment into a form that we enjoy administering. (often these are inherited networks where we are itching to redo them anyways)
