Hi Spiceheads
I have been tasked with replacing a server 2008 R2 with a new Server 2012 R2. Started on Friday, Replicated domain, transferred FSMO roles. I also have to configure the new server as a proxy server. I added the second NIC and configured using GFI webmonitor. Everything was working great, until Monday morning that is. Now my new server is unable to contact any Domain Controllers (weird as this server is one of the DC's).
If I disable the WAN NIC, I am able to replicate and contact both DC's. I changed the NIC bindings so my NIC 1 (LAN) is primary. But still if I enable NIC 2 (WAN) I lose all connections to Active directory etc. I can still however ping the other DC.
The WAN interface is static and points to a Netgear Router with DHCP disabled.I am sure I ammissing something simple here. With the risk of looking like an idiot...
