Hello! Trying to get things migrated properly, and I'm having some issues.
Background: We're currently using Server 2003, with password complexity and requirements turned down a notch. We're trying to move to Server 2012R2 with the new server. Most user passwords do not meet the new basic password requirements. I plan on implementing stronger passwords for new accounts, and slowly migrating users to new accounts, but for the moment, I want everyone to be able to access with their old usernames/passwords until the migration is complete.
The old server is such a mess that I don't want to migrate AD off of it, but create everything new and fresh in S2012R2.
What I've done:
- Set all options under Password Policy on the Default Domain Policy to "Not Defined"
- Created a GPO "Old Passwords", set password history to "0", password length to "0",...
