I inherited a system and am having difficulty with Group Policy and Firewalls. I will admit I don't know much about GP. My Domain is managed by a Small Business Server 2008. I have recently spun up some Server 2012 R2 standard machines to host new software. Our software provider requires we shut off all firewalls on these machines. I did but the Windows Firewall remains on. It says it requires administrative approval (I have tried this while logged in as the domain administrator and the local machine administrator).
Looking in the Group Policy Management on the SBS Server I don't see anything with a name of firewall once I dig down into my domain. How do I edit this policy (Preferably just edit by name of the server) so I can turn off the Windows Firewall?
