Hello all.
As you know Java pushes out updates to its software multiple times per year. Currently on our network users are not permitted to install software on their PC. So normally we make it around to do updates at a regular interval. This isn't an issue for most updates such as Adobe reader, but some of the websites that our users need daily will not work without a Java update. This of course leads to a lot of running around installing updates on every PC at 3 locations every-time an update is issued. I know that other companies have ways to automate this so I'm hoping that someone can clue me in on how it's done.
Our network is pretty standards as we work with a small budget. . .
- Domain
- Windows Active Directory
- Full PC's not thin clients
- Multi-site
- Mostly desktops, some laptops
Thanks in advance!
