Rogue GPO

Hi,

I had a Group Policy that was installing some software on start up at the user level. The software is now redundant and I removed the GPO however PCs that had that GPO applied to it still try to install the software after a user logs in.

I have tried creating a GPO that deletes the old GPOs data from the registry and even though it seems to work and I cannot find the data in the registry the PCs still try and install the software even though I have deleted the data from the registry, removed the GPO and removed the software from the network share.

The policy I have deleting the reg data is deleting data under:

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Group policy\History\gpo id

and

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Group Policy\AppMgmt\gpo id

Using Windows 7 clients and Windows 2008 R2 server.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
