OK - question first, then I'll explain why.
Basically, we want to be able to label a drive while mapping it, via a login script.
We could easily do this using Active Directory and GPP but unfortunately the mapping drive function via GPP works synchronously and therefore our log ins take FOREVER (upwards of 3minutes). If we use GP to run a script of net use commands we can get to the desktop while the mapped drives map and allow us to be up and running in a literately a few seconds.
Unfortunately (because we are never satisfied) we would prefer a label on our Mapped Drives instead of just a letter.
It seems such a simple suggestion - but since I'm no programmer, I've struggling to work this out.
Any ideas?!
