We have a Barracuda SpamFirewall which, I believe, uses LDAP to verify valid email addresses. When a user leaves, the mailbox is left on the server for discovery purposes. I simply expire and disable the account, change the password, remove it from GAL and remove any security groups. Since the user and email address still technically exist, the Barracuda thinks it is still valid and keeps re-creating a user quarantine. Is there any way to remove or hide a user in LDAP or is there another way to accomplish this?
