Just checking.. currently our office AD server is located at HQ (mydomain.com) Users from overseas remote location authenticate to it via site to site vpn. If an event that a branch have 100 users, Im thinking of setting an AD in the branch. If I setup the AD how it should be named? Is it same as mydomain.com ? or branch1.mydomain.com ?
If branch1.mydomain.com and all users and objects as well as GPO are at mydomain.com, How will it operate? And if AD branch1.mydomain.com fails will the users automatically authenticate via mydomain.com HQ?
