Editing permissions Directory Services Restore Mode Sbs2k3

So long story short, started at a new client where the sbs2k3 was their PDC.  They had some electrical issue, AD database corrupted.  We had another server, were able to set up the new PDC on 2008 r2, it's working fine now.

So the problem comes when I'm migrating the files from sbs2k3 to the new file server (this was a project we literally had scheduled for next weekend). Since the issue happened, I can only log into sbs2k3 via Directory Services Restore Mode.  Which is fine, I can acess new file server and transfer files.  Except there are a few ones that I don't have permission to move.  I can't figure out how to remove permissions so I can transfer the files to the new server.

I changed the local admin password, gave system full control rights on that particular folder and made sure it changed all child objects.  I keep getting "you don't have access to that folder".

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

New client, they had a horrendous backup, so I do have a week old backup, but this is the accounting folder, so I definitely need this data, which is just sitting there, not corrupted or anything.  help!

Thanks.
